How to do… Mountain Pose / Tadasana?

Tadasana is the most important asana / pose.

The alignment in this pose is the foundation for a good posture in general and it is the base of your entire yoga practice.

How to do… Extended Mountain Pose / Utthita Hastasana in Tadasana?

Another name for this pose is Urdhva Hastasana / Upward Salute. 

It is a variation of Tadasana with arms overhead that gives the body a full stretch and is commonly used in Sun Salutations / Surya Namaskara. It is a Neutrally Rotated Standing Pose.

  3. Help improve balance
  4. Helps with correct alignment
